Thuman is a small mountain village in the Langtang region of Nepal. With no connections to motorable roads, it is a remote place. The village is home to the Tamangs – a tribal people of Tibetan origin, who look and dress differently to other people of Nepal. An important emphasis is placed on Buddhism the one and only religion in Thuman, and the ‘Gompa’ (the village temple) is the village heart around which life revolves.
